چکیده

This document provides a set of requirements for Advanced Multipath in MPLS networks. Advanced Multipath is a formalization of multipath techniques currently in use in IP and MPLS networks and a set of extensions to existing multipath techniques. Status of This Memo This document is not an Internet Standards Track specification; it is published for informational purposes. RFC 7190 MPLS and MPLS - TP

Many MPLS implementations have supported multipath techniques, and many MPLS deployments have used multipath techniques, particularly in very high-bandwidth applications, such as provider IP/MPLS core networks. MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) has strongly discouraged the use of multipath techniques. Some degradation of MPLS-TP Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) performance canno...

Using a Fuzzy Rule-based Algorithm to Improve Routing in MPLS Networks

Today, the use of wireless and intelligent networks are widely used in many fields such as information technology and networking. There are several types of these networks that MPLS networks are one of these types. However, in MPLS networks there are issues and problems in the design and implementation discussion, for example security, throughput, losses, power consumption and so on. Basically,...

Analysis of MPLS Multipath Routing with the failure and repair of LSPs

Efficient operation of multipath routing is considered as one of the important aspects in MPLS traffic engineering. Multipath routing has an advantage over the traffic routing based on single shortest paths because single path routing may lead to unbalanced traffic situations and degraded QoS (Quality of Service). This paper proposes a novel model for the performance evaluation of multipath rou...

Traffic Engineering with AIMD in MPLS Networks

We consider the problem of allocating bandwidth to competing flows in an MPLS network, subject to constraints on fairness, efficiency, and administrative complexity. The aggregate traffic between a source and a destination, called a flow, is mapped to label switched paths (LSPs) across the network. Each flow is assigned a preferred (‘primary’) LSP, but traffic may be sent to other (‘secondary’)...

A survey of multipath routing for traffic engineering

Traffic engineering broadly relates to optimization of the operational performance of a network. This survey discusses techniques like multi-path routing using traffic splitting, constraint-based routing, pathprotection etc. that are used for traffic engineering. Multipath routing can be effectively used for maximum utilization of network reso urces. It gives the node a choice of next hops for ...
